Fort Henry National Historic Site is perched on a promontory overlooking Lake Ontario, Royal Military College of Canada and the historic downtown of Kingston, Ontario. The nineteenth century British fortification was named part of a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008. Fort Henry presents a variety of dining opportunities for casual and reserved groups during the year. Join us for our popular Mothers’ Day Brunch on Sunday, May 14. The Battery Bistro is open daily from mid May to mid-September. The Bistro offers a casual dining menu and full bar service. The Restaurant features a 200 seat patio-deck with the most spectacular view of Lake Ontario and downtown Kingston anywhere as well as cozy interior dining rooms! The restaurants feature a special Thanksgiving fixed-price menu on the Saturday and Sunday of the Thanksgiving weekend. See our Thanksgiving feature menu. The Soldiers’ Canteen will be open during the Fort Fright festival on selected nights with an over-the-counter service and an interior dining room. Selections will include burgers with French fries, pork sausages, poutine and other snacks and beverages. Liquor service is available for those 19 year of age or older. The Bistro restaurant will not be open during the Fort Fright event.
